Benefits of Using Ultraseal

Ultraseal has been tested and proven to maintain tire air pressure, reduce heat buildup and retard aging within the casing. These factors contribute significantly to reductions in tread separations and zipper ruptures and can add up to increased tire life up to 25% – 40%

When a puncture occurs, Ultraseal immediately forms a positive and secure seal. In many cases, the puncture may not be visually detected until closer inspection. If a nail or object remains in the tire, Ultraseal effectively seals around it.

Ultraseal will consistently and repeatedly seal punctures ¼” – ½”  within the tread area. The repair plug extends from the inner liner through to the external surface of the tire. The Ultraseal plug is pliable, flexes with the tread, and resists the effects of heat or water.

In the case where excessive heat, cracked wheels, or an extreme puncture damages the tire beyond repair, Ultraseal will allow air to escape at a substantially reduced rate, thereby allowing the tire to deflate in a slower controlled manner. This alleviates the hazards associated with blowouts, as the sealant will allow the driver to come to a complete and controlled stop.

Ultraseal substantially reduces porosity, air migration and slow leaks. Tire industry magazines, trade associations, tire manufacturers and the retread industry all agree underinflation is the number one cause of premature tire failure. After many years of laboratory and real-life testing, we can confirm that Ultraseal virtually eliminates underinflation caused by air migration and porosity.

The number one cause of blowouts can be directly attributed to excessive heat generated from under-inflation. The protective barrier provided by Ultraseal ensures that tire pressure will be maintained for extended periods and will run up to 15% cooler. Cooler running tires mean longer tread life and casings that are better candidates for retread.

By maintaining proper inflation and thus decreasing rolling resistance, Ultraseal will aid in increasing miles driven per gallon of fuel. The US Department of Energy predicts an increase in fuel consumption of 3% for each 10psi reduction in tire pressure.

Ultraseal contains a complete rust and corrosion inhibiting system that not only protects steel and alloy wheels, but protects steel belts. Outside contaminants entering through a wound can cause steel belts to rust and plies to separate. Ultraseal prevents this from occurring. Without Ultraseal protection, outside contaminants can destroy valuable casings.

Ultraseal’s proprietary formulation contains ingredients that retard dry rot and aging from within the tire, which increases the life of any tubeless tire casing.

Ultraseal’s operating temperatures under normal conditions range from -40 to 200+ F

Ultraseal contains Thixogel, the results of a proprietary process that protects the sealant against heat and provides the ability to perform effectively for the legal tread life of the tire.
